Image Notes

Another image from a stormy day on Mount Rainier. I walked past this gaggle of firs a couple times, but on this pass the drifting fog through in the background focused the composition.

I stood in this spot for no more than three minutes before the fog dissipated, just enough for a couple frames.

For those who don't know, Reflection Lake is s go-to spot for lazy photographers and tourists. It's right next to the road and affords a decent view of the mountain's southern aspect, which arguably is its most dramatic.

We found ourselves here because our favorite haunts on Rainier's north and eastern aspects were closed for winter. Sigh...but I can't say I mind much because it was nice to focus inward rather than on big mountain scenes.
